Jennifer Blair is an interdisciplinary graphic designer with two decades 😮 of experience shaping visual identities and digital experiences for clients across publishing, technology, and mission-driven organizations.
Jen has designed book covers for many publishers including Deep Vellum and Open Letter Books, storyboarded art and typographic design for organizations including the United Nations and The Story of Stuff, and designed websites for higher education organizations including World Literature Today, the Neustadt Prize, and LEAF, a multi-institutional project lead by collaborators from Bucknell University, University of Guelph, and Newcastle University.
As a design lead for Ashandelle, Jen has worked on exciting bioscience brands like Revalia Bio and Form Bio, forward-thinking leaders like PowerFlex and KUNGFU.AI, and tech gurus like Bonsai.io and Transect.
As the online editor and then art director for World Literature Today, she was selected as one of Folio:’s 15 Under 30 in 2012, received the 2018 Waintroob/Meyers Superior Performance Award from the University of Oklahoma, and won a 2019 Creaties Award as the leader of several WordPress web development projects. As part of WLT’s editorial team, her design work for the Summer 2019 Climate Issue of WLT received a 2020 APEX Award for Excellence in the Green category, and her design work for the May 2018 Speculative Fiction issue of WLT received a 2019 APEX Award for Excellence in the Magazines, Journals, and Tabloids category.
Jen—a born and raised Okie—now lives in Austin, Texas with her husband, son, and two dogs. She continues to mentor college students interested in publishing and design, and volunteers with Austin Bat Cave.
