Jennifer Blair is a multidisciplinary graphic designer with over a decade of experience in branding, print, and web design. She started her career in the book and magazine publishing industry and is currently a design lead at Ashandelle, a creative agency in Austin, Texas.
Before launching Jen Blair Design, she worked as the art and web director for World Literature Today magazine. She led all aspects of design, developed a new website, launched the publication’s online store, and managed online strategic communication through social media, email campaigns, and advertising.
Her work on WLT’s online marketing strategies increased website visits by over 33% and expanded the magazine’s social media following from 500 to over 450,000 followers. During her time at WLT, she was selected as one of Folio:’s 15 Under 30 in 2012, received the 2018 Waintroob/Meyers Superior Performance Award from the University of Oklahoma, and won a 2019 Creaties Award as the leader of several WordPress web development projects. As part of WLT’s editorial team, her design work for the Summer 2019 Climate Issue of WLT received a 2020 APEX Award for Excellence in the Green category, and her design work for the May 2018 Speculative Fiction issue of WLT received a 2019 APEX Award for Excellence in the Magazines, Journals, and Tabloids category.
Jen is from Oklahoma and now lives in Austin, Texas with her husband and two dogs. She continues to mentor college students interested in publishing and volunteers with Austin Bat Cave.
